Police seeking info on suspect who rummaged through finance offices
The Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) and the Gary Police Department are requesting information on a man caught on camera breaking into offices at the Adam Benjamin, Jr. Metro Center in downtown Gary.
The incident took place between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Thursday, September 26th.
According to staff and the police, the suspect, described as an African-American male about 5’8” in his 20s or 30s, hopped a gate to GPTC’s third floor offices and then forced his way into GPTC’s finance suite.
Anyone with information about the attack or the identity of the suspect are asked to call GPD Detective Sergeant Mario Gonzalez of the Burglary Division at (219) 881-4743.
