County sheriff asks public to help ID burglar

Theft suspect photographed at construction site
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a theft suspect and has released security camera images.
Mark Back, director of public relations for the sheriff’s department, said the suspect has been photographed several times stealing electrical wire from new residential construction sites located on the west side of Lake County, IN.
The suspect appears to be a white male with thin build and thinning brown hair. “It is believed that the subject has previous experience with electrical equipment due to the manner in which the materials are removed from the sites.” Back said.
