Urban growers and family farms star at Methodist Hospitals Farmers Market

On June 25th and July 2, meet the farmers who want to put food on your table

Meet northwest Indiana local growers who want to put food on your table at the June 25th Methodist Hospitals Farmers Market.

These are urban growers and small family-owned farms within a short car ride of Gary.

FAITH Farms & Orchard, Gary, their own produce, eggs, and honey.

Bob’s Backyard Garden, Gary and Lake Station, produce using conventional, vertical and container growing methods.

Grounded Earth Farm, Crown Point, organic vegetables, mushrooms, nuts, and fruit.

Perkins Good Earth Farm, DeMotte, their own organic and locally sourced produce, grains, beans, poultry, beef, and a farm shop.

Five Hands Farm, Lowell, their own and locally sourced produce.

Sunrise Harvest Blueberries, San Pierre, pre-picked and u-pick blueberries, farm shop.

Orchard Hill Farm, Crown Point, their own and locally sourced produce.

Rainfield Farm, Carlisle, a variety of herbs and vegetables.

Kajer’s Greens, North Judson, their own fresh greens and locally sourced produce.

Upcoming farmer’s markets are June 25, July 2, July 23, August 6, and August 20.

And there’s always food on the grill.

EBT and cash accepted.

The market is a partnership with Lake County Eats Local and operates from 10am to 2pm in the parking lot at the Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus, 600 Grant Street, Gary.
